MEDIAmobz Poll, 3: Time, Money & Complexity Hurdles to Using Video

by MEDIAmobz MPS  31 October 2011

As previously reported, MEDIAmobz completed in September 2011 an online poll of our users comprised mainly of B2B marketing managers and directors who are evenly spread across the USA. Again, we hope to provide insights and statistics against which you might compare your own video messaging efforts.

In my previous life and profession I learned a few things about creating multimedia content. My former colleague and dear friend, Richard Frankel, taught me one lesson that has remained upper most in mind and applies to my new life in providing creative resource management solutions.

In all creative endeavors you in most instances get to select 2 of 3 variables: time, money and creativity.

Our user poll reveals that B2B marketing executives are very much thinking about at least time, money and complexity.

A full 85% of respondents said they would increase their use of video if the process of producing video did not require so much of staff’s time.

Per that same poll, 75% of MEDIAmobz users polled indicated that they would increase their use of video were video production less expensive.

Finally, 75% of respondents stated that if video production were less complicated, they would increase their use of video.

Are any of these 3 variables negatively impacting your use of video? Is your use of video being impacted by a variable not listed? We would very much like to hear from you on this subject.
