MediaMobz had the honor this week to work with The Economist, augmenting and amplifying through video the conversations about reconciling commerce and ocean health that took place at their World Ocean Summit 2014 (WOS 2014) in Half Moon Bay, California.

WOS 2014 brought together global leaders from government, business, international organizations, NGOs, think tanks and academia to discuss and better understand what can be done to improve the health of our ocean. We provided through our platform access to a top-notch local crew comprised of Eddie Codel and aided by Glenn and Jackson.  During the course of a 2 ½-day event Eddie and team captured speakers, panels and over 20 one-on-one interviews with world leaders like John Kerry, the president of Portugal and many others.

The massive video files from this engagement are right now being uploaded to the MediaMobz platform using our recently upgraded uploader in order that The Economist might have ready access to raw footage and view dailies in our online Screening Room.  Once in the Screening Room The Economist team will be able to review and approve selects, rough cuts and more from their London, New York and Hong Kong offices. We’ll share more on this later.

MediaMobz support the ocean in our own right by being founding members of the Global Partnership for Oceans, founder of Digital Ocean and, whenever time and budget allow, help environmentally-focused nonprofits to better tell their story, amplify their message with digital content through the vast array of available digital channels.
