And to all a very happy lunar new year wish. During my life and career I have enjoyed the great privilege of traveling the world for both business and pleasure, and that extensive travel provided numerous opportunities to be in country during Chinese New Year. I have been very fortunate to have viewed the first sunrise of the new lunar year in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Bangkok, London, New York, my new and beloved home San Francisco and many other wonderful destinations around this great but currently shaky planet. My relationship with the lunar new year is deep and provides numerous and wonderful memories. The one memory, gift that stands out most for me is the opportunity to have walked in another’s shoes. I was not born of a house where the lunar new year was celebrated but have since celebrated what was once a very foreign occasion and to my betterment. I find the astrological predictions proffered by practitioners to be so very relevant this year. The Monkey sign contains Metal and Water. Metal is connected to gold. Water is connected to wisdom and danger. It is suggested that we will deal with more financial events this year. The Monkey is a smart, naughty, wily and vigilant animal. If you want to have good return for your money investment, then you need to outsmart the Monkey. Metal is also connected to the Wind. That implies the status of events will be changing very quickly. Think twice before you leap when making changes to your finances, career, personal and business relationships. My one wish for this the year of the Red Monkey is that each of us attempt to walk in another’s shoes as surely that will allow us to better understand each other and possibly fair better in what is predicted to be a year of quickly shifting events.
